Budget Analyst
Receives management instructions as to growth and change goals for the coming period, changes in business model, and other business initiatives. Assembles necessary data on anticipated costs and desired benefits of management initiatives using internal data, industry and academic sources. Determines financial requirements and general resource allocation to facilitate realization of change goals, as well as possible sources of necessary capital. Analyzes all relevant data. Prepares analytical reports and proposals emphasizing budget specifics, factor by factor, to facilitate change goals and management initiatives. Budgeting includes general business allocations as well as special budgets for specific purposes and may include budget alternatives for management consideration. From time to time, may be designated to make presentations to possible sources of outside financing of projects. After budgets are adopted, assesses success of project implementation by defining benchmarks and goals, and subjecting cost, sales, and profit data to analysis. As directed, makes necessary mid-stream modifications to budgets to accommodate evolving business realities. At all stages, uses MIS and other internal resources to identify and flag possible cost savings and improved efficiency of the supply chain.
REQUIREMENTS:
- EDUCATION: Master Degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related
- EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience in the Job Offered as Budget Analyst, OR, Corporate Accounting as an alternative occupation
